About

The Good Copy is a writing school, a publisher and a shop for word people.

We think a lot about writing. If you do too, or you feel as if you should, or you’re not sure what’s going on—welcome. We run classes and workshops, sell books and zines, and proudly host Collingwood’s longest-running crossword club.

Our courses are now available online! Check them out here.

Where do commas go? And what on earth is a relative clause? Nuts-and-bolts punctuation and grammar for everyone who uses words.

This Stop. Grammar Time. course will run online.

Students will be introduced to the course in a live two-hour Zoom session from 10am to 12pm on Saturday 13 June. This kick-off class will include a course overview and an ‘introduction to grammar’. We’ll cover some key concepts – defining grammar, style and usage – and do some in-class exercises to warm ourselves up.

After the initial class, the course will be delivered in online modules that students can complete at their own pace. Live check-in sessions will be scheduled for each module, allowing students to discuss their progress and ask questions. These will be optional and regularly programmed so you can opt in whenever you like. The course should take around 10 hours to complete overall.
